This leading pan-European Private Equity Group has just closed a - 5bn fund and as such guaranteed management fees for the next 10 years. This group makes solid investments in the mid-cap market and since it's foundation has invested over - 18bn. In 2000 the company did an MBO and is still a privately owned company with 120 people in the firm, 70 of which based in London.
The Head of Tax is responsible for all taxes for the group, funds, employees, investors and overseas subsidiaries and reports directly into the CFO. This role will manage the tax compliance and reporting and assist the Head of tax on projects.
The responsibilities are:
Preparation of the tax returns for all UK entities. This includes amongst others, limited partnerships, limited liability partnerships, group companies and exempt unit trusts.
In addition assisting with the preparation of tax return information for investors and executives and providing support to the Head of Taxation on a variety of advisory issues.
You will need to be:
Newly / recently qualified accountant with corporate tax experience gained either through the profession or in a commercial tax department.
Attention to detail together with good written and verbal communication skills.
Motivated self-starter.
Excellent PC skills (Excel and Word).
Good team worker.
Good inter-personal skills in order to develop relationships both internally and within the business.
