Excellent opportunity for a New Qualified Tax Analyst!

Our client is the largest specialist manager of in-force UK life funds with an estimated 7 million customers, combined life company invested assets of over £61 billion, and around 1,700 staff. They have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified Tax Analyst to join their firm for 9 month period for maternity cover, to provide support in the preparation and delivery of high quality and timely corporation tax compliance, planning and advice for various life assurance companies.

Key Accountabilities:

Preparation, submission and agreement of annual corporation tax computations using ABACUS life tax software fro life assurance companies and Alphatax for non life companies.
Build effective relationships with HMRC
Preparation of tax forecasts and management information
Calculation and disclosure of current and deferred tax provisions for accounting
Proactively implement and identify improvements to the corporate tax process

Mandatory skills required:

Newly qualified Tax Professional (ACA, CTA or ACCA)
Experience of Life assurance taxation desirable.
Highly proficient with MS Excel
Previous experience utilising Abacus or Alphatax preferred but not essential
Strong analytical skills
Enthusiastic approach to work
