| Description: | This is a stand-alone European Tax Manager position based in the UK offices of this multinational company. The role is newly created as part of the ongoing expansion of the European arm and the need to implement a clear tax structure across the region and put procedures and strategy in place. As the first in-house Tax Manager to be based in Europe, you will work closely with the CFO to identify and implement more efficient tax strategy across the EMEA region and exploit opportunities for tax planning.
Roles/Responsibilities:
At present the company has operations across Europe and the Middle East, the main operations based in the UK, France and Germany. At present the tax computations and returns are dealt with locally, and the company lean on their Big 4 advisors for Transfer Pricing support. It will be your responsibility to gather and review the local returns and co-ordinate the tax compliance and reporting processes from the top. You will need to review the group structure and transfer pricing strategy and take steps to maximise tax efficiency across the region.
Skills/Experience:
Experience working in Industry
Experience dealing with the tax issues of a Pan-European group
Transfer Pricing experience for products and European distribution
Full scope experience (tax compliance, tax planning, VAT issues, restructuring, tax accounting and reporting under IFRS)
Ability to work autonomously, and in conjunction with senior finance
Excellent communication skills (dealing with people at all levels both internally and externally)
Educations/Qualifications:
CTA qualification preferred |
