Global Indirect Tax Manager FTSE100 Surrey £up to £130k package

Our client is a FTSE100 with operations throughout EMEA and are looking to make a senior hire into their large group tax team. Reporting directly to the Head of Indirect Tax you will be given huge responsibility and the opportunity to take ownership for driving the Global VAT agenda forward. Their customs bill last year alone was in excess of $3 billion and VAT is very visible at board level.

Initially you will focus on Europe and will travel to meet directors and senior board members on a face to face basis to ensure that strong internal working relationships are built. Over time you will then additionally take responsibility for Asia and the only limits to how the role expands are your ability to add value. Your remit will be broad and will include:-

-Indirect tax risk management
-Management and support on tax audits
-Strategic reviews of Global VAT policies and making appropriate changes
-Transactional support including M &A, re-structuring, financing etc
-Providing support to FDs and specific business units

Rarely do roles arise within a FTSE100 where it is effectively a blank canvass where you can shape the function how you wish whilst been supported by a large, global team. This role does not involved UK VAT and as such you may currently be working in Europe looking to work in the UK. Candidates will currently be working for a Big 4 or multinational and will ideally be accountancy or tax qualified, or from HM Customs. Package to attract the best and to reflect the heavyweight nature of the role.
