This blue chip company is looking to set up an in-house team. Their starting point is to recruit an experienced tax professional who has experience of working in-house. This Head of Tax will manage both direct and indirect taxes and their role will encompass:
•Managing and developing the group corporate tax compliance process;
•Dealing with international tax issues;
•Risk management;
•Advising other areas of the business in relation to tax issues and International VAT system knowledge.
•Building a relationship with Revenue authorities.
•Liaison with external providers.
•Communication with the business at board level.
•Structures transactions company in tax effective way
•Will set company tax strategy and drives this into the business
•Implements company transfer pricing system and drives transfer pricing contracts intra group and ensures approval by local tax authorities
Applicants are likely to be UK qualified taxation professionals (ACA, ICAS, CTA or former Inspectors) who have a mix of UK and international tax experience. You will have sound technical knowledge and experience of dealing with large corporate groups preferably with international tax exposure. It is probable that you will have trained at a Big 4 firm and subsequently moved into industry.
