Despite the current market conditions one of the largest owned clothing retailers now have a need for an experienced VAT Accountant to join this fast growing tax team and work in this dynamic business environment. Many of their brands operate with leading and award-winning positions in their respective markets and continue to have an ever increasing presence.
The role involves high level cross-border VAT matters and responsibility for the groups UK VAT compliance for all UK companies, including the VAT returns, payments on account, annual adjustments and correspondence on all VAT processes with HMRC.
This is a high profile role working in an organisation, where tax takes and active part in the business decision making process and that offers a real opportunity to extend your skill set (and hence marketability) in a commercial organisation.
You will have prior VAT experience and hold a relevant professional qualification (ATT, CTA or equivalent). You will possess excellent client facing and relationship building skills, coupled with commercial awareness.
