A new in-house opportunity has come up for an International Employment Taxes Specialist to be based in London. The role is newly-created and will allow the incumbent to truly stamp their mark on the business. The role sits within the International Compensation and Payroll team as part of the wider HR function. with a variety of projects under way, this role would be a perfect role for someone looking to make that first move in-house and broaden their experience into compensation, benefits, payroll and mobility.
Broadly speaking you will have responsibility for the group compliance surround the UK employment tax and issues arising from the international movement of employees:
* Tax and Social Security Compliance activities for international employees
* UK and International Year End Reporting
* UK tax returns and E101 applications
* Payroll Legislative compliance
* Co-ordination of global compliance requirements
There are roughly 500 expatriates in the company at any given time of 50 nationalities across 27 countries. The company has operations all over the world and a good proportion of the expats come in and out of Italy. It is therefore essential that you have a t least a basic understanding of the Italian tax and social security labour law.
Good IT skills are a must as is the ability to see the bigger picture of any situation and be able to review policy and advise the business on improving systems and processes. The role will require you to educate the rest of the business through seminars on various tax technical topics contract fixed for two years. After that you will have the option of either moving on or staying within the company at the same level.
The role would suit either someone at the Assistant Manager grade looking to make a step up or a first year manager either in professional services or another in-house role, looking to take on a new challenge.
