As part of a long term succession planning exercise
they are seeking to recruit a proven business builder who will take a lead role in managing client relationships on the back of strong commercial, technical and personal skills.
The Role
Whilst the main focus would be corporate tax all round tax skills are needed to meet the needs of entrepreneurs and their private or quoted companies, or limited partnerships.
The ideal candidate will be as much a General Business adviser as much as a tax specialist; They do not keep tax in isolation and the ability to work closely on transactions and to lead the team is paramount.
The role will be to help the Firm deliver its Business Strategy for 2009/10 and beyond. This is focused on:
¢Exploiting the opportunities to take on conflict work from the Big 4
¢Corporate compliance work for large listeds who will retain their global auditor but want to reduce compliance costs
¢Working on Corporate Finance Transactions where they occur
¢Expanding the tax side to twice its current size
¢Using Tax as a hook to win all the services to private companies.

Experience Required/Person Specification
Previous experience in the following areas would be of use;
¢All forms of corporate tax and capital gains tax planning for private companies.
¢Cross border planning, both inbound and outbound, such for companies and transfer pricing.
¢Director/employee remuneration planning including all forms of share schemes.
Proven transaction experience in dealing with the corporate and personal aspects of:-
"MBO's / MBI's - ie private equity and leveraged debt structures
"reorganisations - purchases and sales
"VCT and EIS clearances
"General corporate finance matters
