Niche organisation within the finance / tax software market has created an opportunity for a newly or recently qualified accountant or tax adviser to retrain into IT services. After an initial training period, and working under a project manager, you will be working at the client sites of multinational companies on implementations of new finance and tax systems. Key aspects of the role will be mapping and analysing financial workflows, building reports and databases, creating and implementing IT codes, and testing different scenarios in the system. With more experience in this area, there will be opportunities to progress to project leader for clients. In terms of your profile, you will have recently completed an accounting or tax qualification, based in an audit or mixed audit / tax practice. You will be IT-minded, will have strong client handling skills, possibly with experience of working with finance systems, such as Hyperion or SAP/Oracle. This is an excellent opportunity to retrain into an IT based systems career, with the chance to work with an innovative and growing company. A flexible approach to travel will be required.
