With an abundance of work within Private client and OMB they are seeing a real gap in their service offering of VAT. Therefore they can offer this individual VAT work straight away all from existing clients.
In this market appointing someone to set up a VAT department and team is very difficult and they want to steer away from this. That is why they are offering the chance for someone to work part-time and offer VAT services as they know that the work is already there.
You will have a number of assistants who will be able to do a lot of the compliance work on your behalf and you will be responsible for offering the more complex advice to these clients as and when he need arises.
You will have the confidence to run with this and the ability to warm instantly to people as the relationship is the most important thing when working with existing clients.
