Client Service & Relationships
?Assist Directors/Managers with complex tax advisory projects including but not limited to
oTaking responsibility for individual pieces of work.
oLiaising with clients and third parties.
oProject managing implementation of planning.
oLiaising with other staff units.
oResearching technical questions.
?Assist with business development by attending meetings and producing marketing materials.
?Attend client meetings as required
?Responsible for managing a portfolio of personal tax compliance, ensuring all deadlines are met (including filing of Returns, any elections to be made and payment of tax due) and appropriate elections are made on time, and high standards are consistently maintained.
?Prepare complex tax returns for HNWIs and/or their trusts
?Review more simple tax returns prepared by other members of staff.
?Manage enquiries from clients, their advisers and the tax authorities as necessary.
?Provide guidance to clients within area of knowledge, referring more complex issues to Tax Managers & Directors
?Provide family office facility (family wealth schedules, bank account compliance).
Team Relations
?Provide guidance and leadership to Tax Associates.
?Assist with the coaching and development of junior staff.
?Promote high performance standards.
?Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department by promoting team working and interaction/communication with colleagues.
EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE
?Tax expertise including good knowledge of relevant taxes: ideally a work related qualification - the Associate of Taxation Technicians or The Chartered Institute of Taxation - or at least 3 years' experience in the Tax environment.
?The ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
?Attention to detail.
?Numeracy.
?Good verbal and written communication skills.
?Possess good interpersonal skills to build good relationship with external and internal contacts.
