The purpose of your role will be to act as a key advisor within the Group Tax team to the business in the following ways:
-To develop group strategies and to set compliance policies so as to minimise the group's employer tax burdens worldwide, through: -
•Effective management of the expatriate tax compliance programme
•Provision of taxation expertise in corporate/tax negotiations, and in establishing the group's own policies in relation to UK compensation and benefits planning;
whilst collectively ensuring that internal control regimes are applied and met in relevant tax filings and payments.
You will be a Qualified Accountant or Chartered Tax Advisor with at least 6 years experience in the profession and or corporate roles.
You will have the ability to work alone and without supervision, to be a first-rate multi-tasker and to integrate as part of a team as necessary, to work effectively in cross functional groups to achieve project objectives.
You will have strong negotiating skills, personal resilience and a determination to achieve results and have the ability to understand complex issues and resolve the tax issues raised and with management produce optimum after tax solutions, with commercially acceptable tax compliance costs.
