This global specialist, interdealer broker, delivers specialist intermediary broking services to trading professionals in the wholesale financial markets. The group covers a very broad range of OTC (over-the-counter) financial products and services in energy, foreign exchange, interest rates, credit and equity markets, as well as data, commentary and indices. As a member of this team you will be rewarded by exposure to new ideas and approaches to business.
Dealing with taxation matters including:
Review and sign off of Corporation tax return reviews
Supervision for review of VAT controls and dealing with partial exemption issues
Responsibility for Corporation tax compliance including:
Group relief;
Payments on account; and
Claims and elections
Provision of tax budgets and forecasts
Provision of support on London acquisitions/Joint Ventures and divestments and responsibility for tax sign off.
Provision of advice on transfer pricing and review of associated financial controls
Assistance to Group Taxation Controller in the integration of new acquisitions into the worldwide Group
Assistance with overseas acquisitions
Dealing with overseas tax queries
Ad hoc project work and provision of advice to commercial management
Ideal Skill Set:
Sound tax knowledge incorporating:
Corporation tax with transfer pricing knowledge an advantage
Income tax with knowledge of ex pats an advantage
VAT Knowledge
Compliance, need to be familiar with tax return packages albeit this role will not be expected to prepare returns.
Experience with liaising successfully with Inland Revenue
Experience with Acquisitions an advantage
Experience with year end reporting an advantage
Ability to model scenarios
