- Comply with laid down Treasury policy and procedures, statutory, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare foreign exchange hedging and cash management strategies to minimise risk
- Understand how changes to business units impact on treasury risk (liquidity, counterparty, operational) management positions e.g. acquisition strategy, entering new markets
- Review, monitor and report accurately (daily; monthly; quarterly) on key treasury activities focussing on treasury risk management issues (e.g. foreign exchange, daily cash & liquidity and counterparty reporting) according to specified deadlines.
- Lead, plan and maintain treasury systems development to deliver from an operational perspective a treasury shared service centre concept
- Be responsible for obtaining Board approval via Company Secretariat for amendments to bank and dealing and Letters of Credit mandates
- Organise and maintain administration duties of bank account openings; closings; amendments, banking and dealing mandates as a result of accepted board approvals.
- Bank account maintenance. Ensure treasury manages and reports on all bank accounts, with timely reviews of current operational accounts
- Compliance management, monitoring and updating of policy, updating and maintenance of procedures manuals, statutory, legal and regulatory requirements
- Ensure proper Business Continuity Planning co-ordination The Candidate
- Graduate and professional qualification (Accountancy and/or Treasury) or equivalent
- Proven experience of working within an international treasury environment
- Experience of managing treasury projects where change management is significant
- Background/involvement in delivering system solutions to treasury projects
- Exposure and understanding of treasury products, as well as previous dealing experience
- Proven experience of dealing with people at all levels of the organisation, in particular, to be credible to senior management
- Experience of writing well reasoned, articulate proposal papers
