This well regarded financial services group is seeking to appoint a tax accountant into a role which will provide exposure to both corporate tax and VAT. Key features of the role will include:
- Assisting the Tax Manager in delivering and effective tax service for the group including contributing to tax considerations on corporate matters such as capital expenditure and product development.
- Preparation of corporate tax returns, claims and elections for companies within specified time limits.
- Preparation of VAT returns.
- Preparation of tax calculations within reporting deadlines for all financial reporting purposes.
- Provide a business advisory service. Given the depth and breadth of this role it is probably suited to someone who has worked for either a mid tier firm or possibly a multi-partner independent practice. Applicants will need to be a qualified accountant. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are essential as is the ability to pick up and learn new areas of tax.
