As a qualified Accountant you’ll be managing tax compliance and accounting for this household name. This is new role so you will have the opportunity to shape the role and team. Already firmly established as one of the leading players in the UK FMCG market and with recent flotation, this makes it an exciting time to join.
As a Tax & Compliance Accountant your main responsibilities will involve:
* Monitoring instalment payments and relevant claims and elections
* Advising on the tax implications of business decisions
* Managing the compliance cycle including the corporation tax returns, VAT quarterly returns, Intrastat and EC Sales
* Co-ordinate tax accounting, disclosures and audit in interim and final accounts, and liaising with tax auditors
* Ensuring that the processes underpinning tax accounting and reporting are efficient
* Reviewing current tax processes with the Tax Manager to drive improvements
As a Tax & Compliance Accountant your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
* Experience of working in a PLC tax department
* Knowledge of SAP is also a plus
What we will be looking for in you:
As well as experience of working with or in medium-to-large sized business, you have an eye for accuracy, good prioritisation and organisational skills, plus the motivation to complete work on time and to a very high standard.
