This is a major UK law firm renowned for its positive, practical approach. The firm operates in a number of industry sectors and legal disciplines. The firm is made up of 125+ partners leading more than 350 lawyers offering a broad range of legal services to major national and international clients. The firm’s headquarters are in central London. The organisation also has offices in Sheffield and Brussels and a number of international associations.
The Role:
The Tax group works for clients across various industry sectors, including employee incentives, corporate tax, real estate tax, tax dispute resolution and VAT. The team works closely with specialists in our other groups to help clients plan and structure acquisitions, joint ventures, mergers and investments.
The tax team act for a wide variety of clients, including listed UK corporates, offshore entities, life and pension funds and foreign government funds. The team comprises 5 Partners, one senior consultant and 11 assistants. Junior members of the team are actively encouraged to sit the CTA with support being given.
The role entails tasks such as to advise on a wide variety of corporate transactions, including M&A and fund creation, with a particular emphasis on clients active in the property market. A knowledge of direct, indirect and stamp taxes is required. The clients include many of the best know listed property companies along with a spread of institutional, funds and overseas investors.
