Veolia Environnment is a world leader in environmental services. The Veolia UK Tax department looks after the UK affairs of the Veolia Environnement Group. The UK group is made up of over 120 subsidiary companies operating through the Water, Waste, Power and Transport divisions. A vacancy has arisen for a tax accountant/consultant to work on all aspects of the groups tax affairs.
The successful candidate will report to the divisional tax manager and the Head of Tax and become an integral part of this team. The role will include annual tax reporting/accounting and compliance work together with varied project work. You will be proactive and a team player with an ability to exercise sound judgment.
Key responsibilities/duties:

Calculation of the groups corporation tax liabilities.
Assisting with group tax reporting for both internal and statutory accounts.
Assistance within the team on various project work to include tax planning and acquisition/disposal due diligence.
Developing relationships with internal finance teams and external tax/legal advisers.

Key skills:

Desire to further develop tax skills through experience and study.
High level of attention to detail.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Proficient in use of standard software packages.
French speaker preferred but not essential.
