Client earning regularly exceed £1m and the regular demands of top Entrepreneurs will go beyond that experienced by most Accountants offices.
Given the role of tax in client priorities they are seeking an individual who enjoys day to day client interface directly and can combine the roles of tax consultant and departmental manager. The Tax director’s main responsibilities will be:
- For all tax planning with emphasis on personal tax planning for clients, this comprises income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, trusts plus a small element of corporate tax planning.
- To manage the Tax department to ensure that it is run effectively while offering a quality service to both its external and internal clients.
- In conjunction with the Investment Department to review complex products with a tax angle and develop a risk rated review for the Investment Committee.
The successful candidate will be an experienced tax professional who can demonstrate that they have the attributes to provide a range of tax planning services to high net worth individuals while coping with the demands of managing a small but busy compliance department. Experience within a broad advice activity would be an advantage and experience of personal tax planning products, is essential as is some 5 years post qualification.
