My client is a growing oil company with significant global operations and an ever improving brand name. Headquartered in the UK and with significant interests in the North Sea the company and has undergone rapid expansion into new fields in recent years and this has necessitated growth of its tax department.
As Tax Manager you will work closely with the Head of Tax, principally working on UK tax matters revolving around their upstream activity, but also getting involved in international tax matters as they become increasingly important and the group's overseas liabilities increase. You will take control of the management of the UK compliance cycle, take a pro-active and far sighted approach to spotting tax issues and risks within UK compliance and prepare VAT returns. Alongside this you will be involved with international tax planning and heavily involved in any M & A activity that the company undertakes.
You will be CA/ CTA qualified with an excellent understanding of corporate tax both in the UK and also internationally. This is an exciting and excellent time to come on-board and make a mark at a company with excellent opportunities to progress and grow as a tax professional.
