Based in Cambridgeshire, this is a first-rate in-house tax job for someone looking to make their first step away from the accountancy profession. The role will assist with tax compliance, tax planning and tax accounting/reporting for a large international organisation. Forming part of a high-profile in-house tax team this position will provide exceptional commercial exposure for someone looking to craft a career in industry. Key responsibilities will include:
Preparation and review of UK Corporation tax computations and returns.
Reviewing analysis of general ledger accounts.
Review Accruals and provisions on monthly basis to identify any tax issues.
Reconcile and confirm tax balance sheet accounts monthly
Control of the UK corporation tax returns with a view to meeting all external compliance deadlines
Assisting with and corresponding with HMRC regarding complex queries.
Preparing the tax figures and notes for annual UK financial statements.
Producing the tax figures for the Group's quarterly and annual reporting, considering UK/IFRS and US GAAP.
Preparation of tax journals
Involvement in special projects such as due diligence assignments and transfer pricing
Government budget and pre-budget analysis and impact on the organisation
Ad hoc advisory work and Manage, educate and provide guidance to the Tax Assistant

This role would be ideally suited to someone looking for a first in-house move. To be considered you will need to have solid corporate tax experience ideally gained within a national accountancy firm. You will also need to possess exceptional communication skills.
