They are currently looking for a Tax Manager to service their diverse portfolio of corporate and private clients. The role has a bias towards personal tax but a good understanding of personal, and corporate issues and some exposure to employment taxes will be required.
You will be working with a varied portfolio and gain exposure to a huge range of industry sectors and you will have the chance to work on International and Domestic Tax issues. The emphasis will be on advisory work, you will have the opportunity to be pivotal in the client relationship and this means that the chance of fast-track progression is there for the taking.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on all personal and business/corporation tax Issues
Preparing advice for Partner review
Reviewing work of junior staff
Liaising with clients and with colleagues in the audit and accounting discipline to provide a co-ordinated service to the clients
Dealing with HM Revenue Customs
Researching technical issues
Supervising and coaching junior members of staff to help them realise their full potential
The role will be highly rewarding as you will need not only need to demonstrate a thorough appreciation of all aspects of tax planning in relation to entrepreneurial businesses and private wealth (including income, capital gains and inheritance tax), you will also need an in depth understanding of corporate tax (CT600 returns, group company compliance, deferred tax etc) but also you will ideally be CTA qualified or willing to study for CTA.
