An exciting opportunity exists within this major financial services organisation. Responsible for 2 members of staff, this role reports to the Financial Director and assumes responsibility for the planning, control and co-ordination of the tax function. Key activities include:
· To ensure the delivery of corporation tax computations to Group Tax within agreed deadlines.
· To ensure the delivery of statutory accounts tax provisions to the Finance team within agreed deadlines.
· To maintain and control the corporation tax, deferred tax and VAT records and all associated ledger balances in the statutory and consolidated accounts of each of the managed companies.
· To prepare the corporation tax entries and all associated disclosure notes for the statutory and consolidated accounts.
· To manage the delivery of consolidated tax provision figures for the Group year end consolidation and any additional disclosures.
· To ensure the submission of group and non-group VAT returns of the managed companies.
· To manage and develop the tax team.
· Provide adhoc support to areas of the businesses supported by Finance.
· Assisting Group tax with HMRC queries
· To ensure delivery of the forecast tax result for Group Tax and for forex hedging
This role would be suited to someone with a solid grounding in corporation tax compliance management, VAT compliance, tax accounting and tax reporting. Given the dimensions of the role it is essential that applicants have an accountancy qualification. Excellent prospects for career progression.
