This position reports to the Head of Tax within the London Tax department. The successful candidate will be managing the activities of the newly created Tax Integration Programme Office and providing support to the various projects. The position will provide opportunities in terms of access to complex tax structuring, project management and problem solving in the context of Financial Services integration.

Project Managing the Tax Integration Programme Office:

Project manage and provide support to work stream leaders;
Identify tax issues and assist in developing solutions;
Manage the communication process, including overseeing various tax work streams ensuring project development from execution to completion;
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders; and
Provide updates and direction to the team of work group leaders.

Supporting the Work Groups that feed into the Tax Integration Programme Office:

Liaison with and coordination of communication between internal and external parties including: various tax project managers, business groups, external advisors and other stakeholders;
Analysing large volumes of information, summarising and reporting updates;
Tracking and reporting progress of various tax and other integration work streams;
assistance with developing agendas, coordinating meeting and keeping minutes; and
Creating presentations (Power Point) and other documentation relevant to the activities of the Tax Integration Programme Office.

Other functions

Providing other tax advice as necessary
Regular reporting to the Programme Office

Key Competencies:

Professionally qualified in tax
Strong communication skills including the ability to liaise with CFOs and external advisors at the highest level
Strong skills using the Mircrosoft Office suite
Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver reports
Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver reports
Conscientious, hard working and enthusiastic nature
Exposure to Financial Services
