| Description: | Independent firm of accountants based in the West End have an opportunity for a Tax Senior to work on both corporate and personal tax issues for an interesting variety of clients. The firm have a strong client base within the media, arts and entertainments industries and the technical areas cover a broad spectrum of personal, corporate and VAT work.
The Tax Senior will be responsible for preparing self-assessment tax returns and will gain exposure to areas such as corporate tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and non-domicile issues.
This role offers a good variety of quality work as well as advisory, with the expert guidance of the firm's highly experienced Tax Manager and partners.
Roles/Responsibilities:
Personal tax returns for individuals.
Corporate tax compliance including returns for Limited Companies and Groups.
Being first point of contact for clients and advising on liabilities and deadlines.
Corresponding with and negotiating terms with Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs.
Responsibility for billings.
Working on ad hoc advisory work with the Tax
Manager as well as on an individual basis.
Skills/Experience:
Experience of double tax relief a distinct advantage.
Experience of expatriate tax issues, in
Particular US-based expatriates, also an advantage.
Education/Qualifications:
ACCA, ACA or ATT qualified.
Ideally studying towards or newly qualified
CTA.
Personal Attributes:
Ability to keep to tight deadlines.
Team player - able to communicate effectively with immediate team as well as liaise with other departments within the business.
Able to build good relationships with clients. |
