This role is for an experienced Transfer Pricing senior manager/director to build a strong Transfer Pricing practice in Manchester. The successful individual will work with the international tax team to continue to expand transfer pricing in the North West. They will be responsible for the delivery of transfer pricing projects, with support from the London transfer pricing team. As the Transfer Pricing practice in the North West grows, there will opportunities to recruit a junior member of the team.
Tax Compliance Responsibilities
- Assisting clients to get in place appropriate documentation to support their transfer pricing policies in the UK and globally
- Helping the team's senior transfer pricing members in negotiations with tax authorities where a company's transfer pricing policy is challenged and assisting in compiling a robust defence Tax Planning Responsibilities:
- Assisting clients in developing economically robust transfer pricing policy
- The assignment will also involve helping to provide wider integrated tax solutions to clients as part of larger international tax projects. In particular assistance will be required on designing appropriate supply chain structures as companies expand overseas or restructure their global operations.
The successful candidate will liaise directly with clients and other advisors / intermediaries as necessary. In addition the individual will have a role in marketing and promoting the Firm's experience to clients and targets as well as training less experienced team members.
Person Specification
- Be a qualified ACA, ACCA or CTA (or equivalent) or a relevant economics background together with practical transfer pricing advisory experience gained in a top 20 Firm or bespoke transfer pricing specialist Firm
- Pervious pricing experience
- Computer literate
- Possess excellent communication (written and oral) skills
- A team player and able to form good working relationships with colleagues and clients
