This key appointment within its trust and estate department will see you take early responsibility for a portfolio of trusts and estates. You will deal with the preparation of accounts and tax returns for discretionary, life interest settlements and charities in addition to preparing IHT return forms 100 and 400. In return to your previous trust and estate compliance experience in an accountancy firm, you will get to develop professionally whilst maintaining independence. You be supported by systems and processes to ensure you fulfil your potential.
Role:
- Preparing annual accounts and trust tax returns.
- Preparing IHT return forms 100 (trusts) and 400 (estates).
- Preparing executorships accounts.
- Administering trusts.
- Liaising with trust bankers, stockbrokers, solicitors etc.
- Maintaining trust records.
Skills:
- Previous trust and estate compliance experience.
- Experience of working in an accountancy firm is essential.
- Studying towards STEP exams would be advantageous.
- Strong word-processing and Excel skills.
- Demonstrable understanding of an investment environment in which family trusts operate.
- Enthusasim and desire to progress.
