Working closely with the Director and Partner of this Capital Taxes and Trust team, the role sits within the tax department of this Group A firm. The role will take responsibility for monitoring the team’s work in progress, agreeing fees with partners and clients and undertaking timely billing. The skills required include experience in trust book keeping and accounting, in-depth knowledge of the uses and taxation of UK and offshore trusts, trust tax compliance, knowledge of private client issues including Income and Capital taxes and tax planning strategies. You will establish yourself as a key client contact, as well as regular liaison with partners to ensure consistency of approach and best practices. The role will enjoy client facing and technically challenging work with good prospects for promotion.

Joanna Longman is a VAT specialist and was previously Regional Head of VAT at one of the Big 4 firms before becoming VAT Director of a large local practice in the North West. She has been an active member of various chapters of the VAT Practitioners Group.
