A unique opportunity has arisen for a client-focused professional. My client has gone a period of significant expansion and as part of that expansion, they are looking to build the private banking arm of the business. In order to offer a complete offering to their clients they have built an in-house private client tax advisory practice. This role will be part of that team but will be supporting the private bankers in their business activities.
You will work fairly autonomously and will co-lead meetings with the private bankers whereby your role will entail identifying tax wealth planning opportunities with the HNW clients. The technical expertise of the private client tax practice team is second to none and you will be able to call on them with full support. It is therefore not a pre-requisite that you have in-depth technical understanding of complex private client tax issues (although this is an advantage).
The ideal candidate for this role would be someone with experience in leading meetings with senior executives who is able to challenge them as well as communicate on the same level. You will need to have the presence and confidence to spot business opportunities, present them to clients and secure the work. You will be a natural networker and cross-selling skills.
Ideally you will have had training within a large accountancy practice or law firm. You will either be qualified in Tax, Law or Accountancy and have some knowledge of tax wealth issues. Interpersonal skills are the key for success on this role. Ideally, you will be already in a Manager level position where you actively take the lead of projects.
