Leading international accountancy firm seeks a VAT Assistant Manager to assist the Director in VAT consultancy projects and winning new work in the region.
Working on a wide range of clients your main responsibilities will include
•Attending client meetings, drafting meeting notes, and managing the follow up actions. You will manage the client relationship on some clients and will act as the first point of contact for all client queries;
•Drafting letters, reports and presentations. This will involve undertaking VAT technical research and presenting conclusions to both your colleagues and the client;
•Attending and participating in marketing events.
•Keeping up to date with VAT technical developments.
•Undertaking VAT Audit Risk reviews and preparing a summary of findings. These reviews will often be done at client premises.
You should have a minimum of 2 years' indirect tax experience either at another accountancy firm or from HM Revenue & Customs. You will also have good A Level grades and a good degree (2:1 or better). You should also have excellent communication skills and enjoy working within a team environment.
