| Description: | My client has been through several changes over the past 12 months, but what has not changed is their VAT team's focus on delivering high quality indirect tax advice to a broad range of medium to large corporate clients. The team has gone from strength to strength and has significantly grown in terms of profit and revenue and now requires additional resources to ensure this growth continues.
Roles/Responsibilities:
Joining as an Assistant Manager, your role will focus on a number of advisory projects across multiple areas of indirect tax, and may include exposure to cross border VAT advice. Compliance is likely to form no more than 20% of your role, although there may be opportunities to take on more of this if you are particularly keen to do so.
Skills/Experience:
Ideally you will come from a professional services background and have had significant exposure to VAT advisory projects, however candidates with a HMRC or compliance background are actively encouraged to apply as the team prides itself on their internal training and development and can bring you up to speed on any areas needed.
Educations/Qualifications:
An ACA, ACCA, ATT, IIT, or CTA qualification would be highly desirable, although those either working towards one of these or those with relevant experience are also actively encouraged to apply.
Personal Attributes:
Candidates should be focused team players with strong written and verbal communication skills. As you develop in the role, you will be given increased opportunity to be involved with business development and as such your presentation skills should also be polished. |
