The role will be required to work closely with the Group Tax Director to formulate and communicate the Group's VAT strategy. To work in conjunction with Group Sales to identify new business opportunities and break down VAT barriers to outsourcing. To provide direction, support and leadership to the in-house VAT team. To improve current practices and implement new methods to ensure minimisation of tax liabilities and compliance with statutory provisions.
You will bring a thorough understanding of UK and European VAT law and a demonstrable track record of practical experience, ideally from within the financial sector or related industry. As a strong leader who is proactive and able to shoulder responsibility, you will bring the ability to drive change and deliver solutions within tight timeframes. With excellent communication skills you will be able to work effectively with all levels of individuals and across functions.
