SABMiller is one of the world's leading brewers with brewing interests or major distribution agreements in over 60 countries spread across six continents.

This FTSE100 business require an Indirect Tax Manager who will be responsible for supporting the Group Indirect Tax Manager. The position will encompass regular interaction with the GITM ( Group Indirect Tax Manager) Regional Senior Management, regional tax and finance staff ( for Europe in particular), the Group tax team, and other head office functions.

Tax across the group is managed on a matrix basis. Local compliance is a business unit responsibility, however, in the case of Income Tax, VAT, Excise and customs duty, appropriate regional and group management and coordination is applied. This coordination is centred within the group Tax function at the head office and is linked to the regions through various regional tax managers. In terms of other responsibility, the group Tax team handles all group tax issues, multi-territory and cross border group wide tax issues, central companies' tax compliance. group tax policies and procedures (including tax risk) and general tax support.

You may already be in a commercial role or be looking for the first move into industry and have a solid technical understanding of most VAT issues. The role will require a certain amount of travel (circa 20%). This is fantastic role to broad your tax exposure and incorporate a European remit.
