Interim Head of Tax (9 months initial, Temp to Perm) - Hedge Fund, to £100k + bonus + pension

A rapidly growing Hedge Fund are looking to hire a Head of Tax on a 9-month contract basis, with a view to a potential permanent conversion.

This is a newly created position with the business reaching a critical mass point of wanting to in-house a great proportion of their finance function. Process mapping and modelling will be a key focus, along with working with the outsource providers on current compliance and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:

- Manage all tax reporting and compliance processes, identifying areas for automation and improvement
- Maintain tax strategy in-line with the group’s tax governance and risk management policies
- Answer UK and Ireland focused tax queries as and when presented by the group, providing research where the answer is not immediately apparent
- Act as tax subject matter expert on all outbound finance projects
- Manage and maintain relationships with external advisors

Requirements:

- Proven post-qualified tax experience, qualified in practice or trained through industry both considered
- Wide tax exposure with a focus on CT, happy to turn your hand to different areas, researching tax legislation where required
- Experience of or exposure to Partial Exemption Special Methods would be beneficial
- Confident and a strong communicator with all levels of personnel
