This is a very international, high-profile role that is a key part of the Group Tax Department of a dynamic and innovative industrial manufacturing company. It is a geographically spread, global business and this is a hands-on job covering international tax advice, oversight of tax compliance, US GAAP tax reporting, handling tax audits, and implementing tax planning projects. The position reports to the VP Tax in the US and manages one direct report based in the UK.
The Associate Director International Tax can be based anywhere in the UK with good access to an airport for international travel (mainly in Europe, regularly to Zurich). The responsibilities include managing outside advisors in multiple foreign jurisdictions, BEPS, DAC6 and other special projects. The position will have high exposure to senior management and will require strong communication skills.
To be successful in this role it is expected that you will need at least 10 - 15 years of experience from a Big 4 firm and ideally in-house as well. Strong tax accounting skills are required, with ideally US GAAP reporting. It requires a self-starter, able to demonstrate a strong work ethic, work independently and bring a positive team-first approach to the tax group and company.
