In house tax senior manager

Our client is a global law firm with businesses throughout Europe, The Middle east, Asia and beyond and is recognised as one of the top international law firms.
They are looking for an experienced tax senior manager to join their in house finance team to support the tax affairs of the firm across the UK and internationally.
The role
You will be a pivotal member of the team, working on the tax reporting, compliance, planning, strategy and tax risk management. Ideally you will develop deep technical and industry knowledge if you do not have it already although there will be a lot of support from the team to help you learn the ropes.
Ideally you will have experience of working in an in house environment and be familiar with financial planning, accounting and tax compliance as well as working on and advising on tax strategy, tax risk and complying with tax legislation. Moreover you will need to be able to recognise when there will be bumps in the road with regard to tax strategy and be the trusted adviser to act accordingly.
The candidate
Ideally you will have trained and qualified in a large professional services firm and be ATT and CTA qualified. The ACA qualification is desirable but not obligatory. Some in house experience would help and ideally you will have been responsible for more junior staff.
This is a challenging role within a globally recognised brand and will suit someone wanting to make a their first move in house at the manager or senior manager level.
