About You

You will be vibrant, diligent and organised, and looking to expand your knowledge and capabilities.

As a senior tax accountant, you will know your accounting and tax rules thoroughly and find the challenge of advising owners of small-to-medium sized businesses enjoyable.

With an aptitude for advising clients on their business and personal taxes you will understand the lifecycle of a business and the accountant’s role in supporting that growth.

About the Role

 This role includes both tax compliance and advisory work for limited companies, businesses and individuals.

 On the limited company side, the work includes the review of initial corporation tax checks, the preparation of corporation tax computations, advising on the tax implications of group structures and advising companies on tax planning initiatives.

On the personal tax side, the work includes reviewing draft personal tax returns, preparing more complex personal tax returns and offering remuneration advice.

 Your Qualifications and Experience

Recent experience of tax return preparation and business tax experience
Have completed or be working towards an industry qualification e.g., ATT/CTA/ACCA/ACA, or QBE.
Be proficient in working with packages such as Xero and IRIS and Excel

Personal Attributes and Competencies

You will be able to manage your time and workflow effectively, to ensure client work is completed in accordance with statutory deadlines and client guarantees

You will have the ability to apply your analytical and problem-solving skills to highlight and resolve client issues, suggest solutions and support business objectives.

You will be a proactive and effective communicator, showing a willingness to talk through your solutions with clients.

You will want to progress in your career to improve yourself in your management abilities and tax knowledge.
