An Entertainment Organisation is looking for an Assistant Tax Manager/ Tax Manager to join their tax team on a maternity cover, 12 month FTC.
Main responsibilities:
* Compilation and analysis of financial data for various tax returns, including:
1 VAT
2 Gaming duty, bingo duty, remote gaming duty, machine games duty
3 Corporation tax (using Alphatax)
* Assistance with quarterly tax reporting
* Preparation of tax disclosures for inclusion in local statutory accounts
* Maintain and update process documents for Senior Accounting Officer compliance
* Preparation of the PAYE settlement agreement calculation
* Assistance with Country by Country Reporting
* Analysis of fixed asset data for capital allowances purposes
* Monitor and reconcile accruals for indirect taxes on a monthly basis
* Assist in providing information requested by HMRC for meetings with HMRC and by correspondence as appropriate
* Provide support and advice to the wider finance team
Qualifications
* ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified
* Direct tax and VAT experience essential (3+ years minimum)
* Experience of using Alphatax software preferred
* Excellent excel and data analysis skills
* Analysis and reconciliation of large volumes of data
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail to ensure that work is accurate and deadlines are met
* Enthusiastic with good communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as being able to work on own initiative
* Strong analytical skills and drive to understand the detail
* Good problem-solving skills - ability to identify potential issues and propose solutions
