Head of VAT Opportunity- Services/FS, remote option!

Pleased to be partnering with a complex and everchanging services business on their Head of VAT hire. This is a high level, strategic role, tasked to advise the business on an array of areas, manage risk, partner with stakeholders and manage a small team. Tax has a high profile within the business and you would have significant exposure to all levels of the business.

There is a positive culture across the tax & wider finance team, who operate a remote working model.

Specific responsibilities include:

* Leading and developing Indirect tax strategy for the group.
* High level advisory work on a range of areas including restructuring, M&A, planning, PE and supply chainwork.
* Ownership of end to end compliance process
* Continually develop the use of systems and
* Managing the risk status of the group and proactively informing the business on areas of exposure and solutions
* Maintaining up to date on legislative changes
* Managing a small team
* Raising awareness of Indirect Tax across the business by effectively business partnering, providing training and more
* Maintaining a strong relationship with advisers, tax authorities and other third parties.
