Head of Indirect Tax, Bristol (Hybrid) - to £110k + bonus + pension

An opportunity has arisen to lead the Indirect Tax function for one of the UK's best known, leading brands. This is a high-profile role within the tax team and wider business and is seen as a true business partner and leadership role within the Group.

Reporting to The Head of Tax and with a team of 5, you will take ownership over the indirect tax strategy, ensure the Group is fully compliant and manage risk.

Specific responsibilities include:

* Lead for VAT advisory work and implement the Group Tax Strategy, ensuring the business units have an awareness and sense of accountability of VAT issues / responsibilities
* Lead and support lobbying and management of issues with HMRC
* Accountable for ensuring compliance obligations are met as well as adherence to the Tax Risk Framework
* Ensure appropriate input into finance transformation projects and drive process improvements with the shared service centre

The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant or Tax Advisor with significant experience in indirect tax in large UK business with international operations.
