An established financial services group is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Tax Manager to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The opportunity is to join this forward-thinking and innovative company at a pivotal time in its growth trajectory. The company are currently undergoing a period of strategic development, making this a high-impact position for an ambitious and confident individual. Joining a senior and experienced in-house tax team, the interim senior tax manager will have the scope to learn and develop across many different avenues of tax.

Your new role
As Interim Senior Tax Manager you will work closely with the group head of tax to manage all tax matters across the business. This includes a significant amount of compliance and advisory work focused on corporation tax. There will be exposure to VAT, employment taxes, transfer pricing and share schemes taxes also. In this role you will advise senior stakeholders of tax implications of transactions, contracts and projects. You will also maintain a strong relationship with HMRC ensuring accurate compliance.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this Interim senior tax manager job you will need:

* ACA/CTA Qualified
* Previous tax senior manager/manager experience within either practice or industry
* Strong tax technical experience and capability
* Ability to advise on tax issues and implications across corporation tax, VAT, employment tax and operational tax
* Ability to lead, coach and mentor junior staff members
* Be adaptable, flexible and able to cope in what is often a pressured and fast-moving environment where advice is required at short notice
* A confident understanding ofthe causes of tax risk, identifying tax risk and how to mitigate it
* Prior financial services experience is a plus (however not essential)
