Here are some of the things you'll be doing:

Owning the individual, partnership and corporate income tax filing process end-to-end for our US small business clients
Prepare and communicate quarterly estimates for tax payments
Assist in training Tax Associates and reviewing their work
Troubleshooting process problems and adapting to the needs of our diverse clientele
Research and document complex state and local small business tax issues and assist in developing best practice resolutions
Building lifelong friendships with a genuinely lovely cast of characters
Managing client communications (phone, email, and in-app messaging)
Entertaining your co-workers with your good-natured wit and charm

You’ll fit in well if you:

Have your US CPA and 5+ years of corporate or individual tax experience
Have a post-secondary degree in Accounting and/ or Masters of Tax
Are comfortable making documented decisions independently and can learn from mistakes
Have a lovely phone presence that conveys your genuine charm and professionalism
Excited about being able to contribute to the evolution of a tax profession leveraging technology & automation
Are ready to be part of the exciting and unpredictable ride of a rapidly growing startup

Details:

This is a full-time position, because we want to spend lots of time with your wonderful self, based in Vancouver (Canada)
Our office is in downtown Vancouver, BC and easily accessible via transit
This position offers an annual salary based on experience
