CONTEXT:
You will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Divisional Finance Manager in a number of key areas. Forming part of an exceptional new team that the Divisional CFO is creating, you will be heavily P&L focused with a strong emphasis on the analysis of actual results, the compilation of short and medium term forecasts and budgets and longer-term business planning. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and self-driven Finance professional, who is not only a technically competent accountant but also has the ability to commercially engage with business units; to develop within the Group on the long run. You will be required to travel for about 10% of your time to support domestic and international ongoing projects.
FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in the consolidation of daily, weekly & monthly results Financial & Operational
- Assist in completing month end closing routines (consolidation of multiple, multicurrency entities)
- Production variance analysis and other financial and sales analysis, as well as assisting with the year-end and budget preparation process
- Collecting and compiling results from global Safety companies
- Assist in forecast and planning for the Division
- Producing product line reports by Senior Managements and Product Line Managers
- Analysis of income statement & balance sheet
- Provide full support to the Finance Manager dealing with the ever changing needs of the business and perform other ad-hoc duties as required
- Commitment to continuous improvement, simplification and standardisation of business processes and communications
- Reducing non-value added and repetitive aspects of accounting using systems, knowledge and resources effectively
- Maintain robust internal control environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least Level 2 of the CIMA or ACCA examinations
- Both financial and cost accounting experience, preferably gained in a manufacturing environment
- Business acumen, cross-functional professional experience, self-motivation
- Systems knowledge SAP, BW, Hyperion
