UK Tax Manager, Entertainment Group, London

This organisation is a global entertainment leader with a rich history and instantly recognisable brand. It employs several thousand people in forty countries and has a collection of businesses, each with its own unique offering. As a key member of the global tax team, you will report to the VP of International Taxes. Your principal focus as UK Tax Manager, will be to lead all UK tax affairs including; compliance, tax audits and tax reporting. Furthermore, you will support with tax planning activities for transfer pricing, acquisitions, disposals and structural changes in commercial operations. To be successful in this role, you will be UK trained and professionally qualified (ACA and or CTA). Duties will include:
• Take ownership of the UK direct tax compliance for holding and operational companies including the preparation of tax returns and computations
• Manage and direct tax audits
• Oversight of UK indirect tax compliance, working closely with Finance
• Manage model for tax payment forecasting
• Supporting VP, International Tax with development and tax planning for UK entities, resulting in improvement in the effective income tax and cash tax rates
• Develop key relationships with various stakeholders including; Operational Directors, HR, HMRC, Legal Counsel, Treasury, external Advisors and Senior Finance.

About you:
• ICAEW/ICAS qualified
• CTA qualified preferred, but not essential
• Proven UK direct tax background
• Strong awareness of tax accounting
• Exposure to corporate tax advisory projects
• Big 4 training preferred
• Ideally suited to someone looking for their first step in-house
• Able to discuss tax technical matter in plain language.
