An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Reporting Manager to join our client, based in London

Job Responsibilities:
*To support the Head of Tax Reporting in leading the reporting and forecasting of taxes across the Group in particular:
oTo ensure the HSBC Group are compliant with the International Accounting Standard for Tax (IAS12) and appropriate and accurate tax disclosures are internally and externally;
oTo ensure Group Tax policies and processes are properly implemented and consistently applied
oTo streamline reporting and forecasting processes across the Group and to maximise efficiencies
*To support the following key outputs:
oQuarterly interim reporting and Annual Report and Accounts for HSBC Group and HSBC Bank plc
oAnnual PRA Stress test
oBi-Annual EBA Stress Test
oAnnual CRD IV Country-by Country Reporting
oAnnual BEPS Country by Country Reporting
oQuarterly UK Group Payment Arrangement Calculations
oAnnual Operating Plan (5-year forecast)
oFinancial modelling for ad-hoc projects (eg ring-fencing, HQ domicile, planning initiatives etc)
*To support the Head of Tax Reporting in implementing and maintaining the global tax risk framework and supporting governance and reporting requirements

Preferred Skills:

*Qualified tax professional (preferably Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Institute of Taxation or equivalent).
*Specialist knowledge and experience in IFRS tax reporting..
*Specialist experience in financial services preferred.
*Experience in managing process change.
*Strong communication, problem solving, analytical and project management skills.
*Commercial awareness and sound judgment.

The jobholder is expected to:
*Work with a very high degree of independence and to act with initiative, under the overall supervision of the Head of Group Tax Reporting.
*Exercise sound judgment.
*Demonstrate credibility in dealing with a range of business colleagues and external bodies (e.g. external auditors).
Management of Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)

*Jobholder must be aware of the associated business and tax risks involved in carrying out their duties and management of them appropriately.
*Jobholder will also continually reassess operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings and the impact of new technology.
