Global head of employment taxes - Leading investment bank, London, to £160k

I am currently partnered with a market leading investment house that are looking for a senior employment tax professional to lead their employment taxes division. This individual will be responsible for leading the Employment Taxes team, setting strategy and managing all risk and governance aspects pertaining to Employment Taxes globally. The candidate must be able to operate with a very high degree of autonomy and be able to face off to senior colleagues across the bank. Key stakeholders include the Long Term Plans Team, International Mobility, HR Reward/HR business partners, Pensions team, Payroll business units and Finance.

Essential Skills
• CTA qualified or equivalent/above.
• University degree 2:1 minimum.
• Thorough understanding and experience of all aspects employment taxes (PAYE advisory, expat taxes, Payroll, share plans, executive
compensation) with knowledge of issues specific to the financial/banking sector.
• Team management/leadership experience.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to proactively build and develop strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
across the bank.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at varying levels of seniority and challenge where appropriate.
• Displays integrity, initiative and commitment through interactions with colleagues and clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management skills, clear ability to see projects through from design to implementation.
• An ability to connect complex tax technical issues with practical and commercial application including the impact on compliance
processes.
• An ability to identify wider consequences of a particular course of action.
• Proactively keeps up to date with employment tax developments.

Desirable skills
• In house employment tax management experience
