This is an exciting tax advisory role, in the heart of the City. Following the continued business expansion, the need has arisen for a Senior Tax Manager. Reporting to the Head of Tax and CFO on certain issues, you will personally lead the management of several high profile tax projects including; UK and international CT, transfer pricing, FATCA, CRS, R&D, patent box and M&A activity. You will co-ordinate external advisors to deliver timely advice on multiple projects. You will also have line manager responsibility for two reports.

You should have a corporate tax background, previous industry experience and a proven track record of managing projects and excellent communication skills. Whilst advantageous, an FS tax skillset is not a pre-requisitite, rather a solid CT advisory background and a willingness to adapt. About the role:

Support the business in all aspects of corporate and operational taxation
Provide corporate and operational tax advice to the business across a range of tax areas and jurisdictions
Advise the business on operational tax developments, enabling them to develop IT solutions and business processes
Ensure developments in tax legislation are identified and communicated to finance and broader business stakeholders
Manage relationships with HMRC and overseas tax authorities
Lead and manage changes to the Group Transfer Pricing position, including the management of APA discussions where appropriate
Monitor compliance with operational tax requirements including ISA Management, FATCA/CRS and Qualified Intermediary
Take ownership of all tax corporate and operational tax compliance and reporting
Manage IFRS tax reporting at a Group and subsidiary level
Continue the development of controls and processes supporting the Senior Accounting Officer regime, including working closely with IG’s Financial Control and Accounts Payable function based in Europe
Manage a team of 2 corporate tax accountants

About you:

Qualified ACA and CTA qualification or equivalent
Proven background in UK corporate tax
Operational taxes or FS experience an advantage (not compulsory)
Statutory financial reporting experience an advantage
An ability to work flexibly on a large number of differing projects
Ability to manage senior stakeholders
A true appreciation of the commercial impact of tax on the wider business
