US Personal Tax Trainee (Graduate)

Our client is a progressive and entrepreneurial boutique specialist US tax firm in the heart of London. With a focus on exceptional client service this firm has developed a fantastic reputation in London and Switzerland with its clients and intermediaries.

Due to continued demand for their services the firm now seeks to hire a number of Graduate trainees who have an interest in developing a career within the US tax space. This discipline offers graduates an interesting and challenging career working with high net worth Americans who are living and/or working in the UK and Europe. This is a great opportunity to enter a firm with little or no US tax experience and develop yourself into becoming a trusted US tax adviser to high profile firms in the financial services and technology arenas.

Responsibilities:
• Preparation of personal and partnership tax returns with a focus on US tax
• Preparation of US international tax returns with focus on compliance with emphasis knowledge in Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Technology clients.
• Data gathering and research of US tax laws.
• Attending client meetings with Directors, Senior Managers and/or Managers.
• Preparation and exposure to some UK tax related clients

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to have strong academic background with at least a 2:1 classification in an undergraduate business, finance or accounting related degree. Individuals with a master’s degree will also be considered. Some office experience work experience is desirable. You will also need to have excellent MS Excel skills
