An industry leading private equity tax group with a blue-chip client base and clear growth plans facilitating swift promotion to Senior Manager is looking for a strong Manager to come on board. The team deal with a mix of transactional work, dealing with acquisitions, disposals, refinancing and restructuring work. In addition to this, they offer tax advice on how the private equity house itself is structured and the wider tax issues arising in the management team. The team is committed to ensuring it maintains a diverse group of successful staff and as such is committed to a highly flexible agreement with prospective candidates. Most individuals will work from home at least once a week and given the nature of deal cycles, the leadership ensures that after a busy period, individuals can take time off in lieu to recharge. This has created a calmer atmosphere than most PE Tax/M&A Tax groups and has resulting in high levels of retention and positive feedback in staff surveys.
While the team is committed to treating its staff well, it balances this with ambitious growth plans which have already been supported by a strong pipeline of work and an ever-expanding client portfolio. In order to grow the business and maintain its staff ethos, the group is committed to hiring several strong managers.
Key aspects of this role include:
• You will be responsible for managing members of a growing team and providing tax advisory services to a range of private equity clients.
• Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Partners.
• Your responsibilities will predominantly be focussed on tax advice in relation to Private Equity clients’ acquisitions and disposals. The work is wide-ranging including international tax and supporting our clients throughout the deal cycle. A good understanding of management tax issues would be helpful.
• Advising on complex tax structuring, restructuring, refinancing, planning and disposals.
The successful candidate should have demonstrable M&A Tax experience along with some exposure to Private Equity Tax issues. You will be ACA/CTA qualified (or equivalent) gained at a large firm. Experience of developing and maintaining strong client relationships as well as internal relationships is essential. The successful candidate could come from professional services, or industry.
Basic salary – up to £70,000 plus industry leading benefits and bonus.
