Our client is in the process of setting up a new inhouse VAT compliance function based in central Manchester.
Due to the diverse nature of the group the complexity and number of VAT-related filings across Europe is increasing. Technology solutions are needed to manage this increase, and a technology-focused resource is needed to help us develop and implement the tax technology we need. So we are now looking for an enthusiastic person to join the new team. The role will specialise in providing support to the compliance team in the development and use of technology, including accounting systems and automation tools.
You will need to demonstrate strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills as well strong desire to exceed expectations, as well as being able to take ownership of you work, initiate and implement change and demonstrate a problem solving approach.
Ideally you will have
• experience working in a finance and/or technology function
• Part-qualified similar credentials preferred
• Relevant VAT experience
• Experience of compliance in other European jurisdictions advantageous
